Markets

Markets are the best. Sell, swap, meet.

End of season, everyone has something to sell: the villa that's closing, the boat that's being emptied, the wardrobe that didn't fit the winter. Markets are where the island meets itself — the weekly ones that run all winter, the farms that open their gates on Fridays and Saturdays, the Christmas markets in the four towns, and the pop-ups: a sale in a finca, a vintage day in a studio, a producers' market at a bodega. This is the place to find them, and to start your own.

The island's farms don't do markets so much as open days: a shop, a long table, something for the kids. Fridays and Saturdays are the days.

All four towns do one. Dates follow last year's pattern until the town halls publish this year's — we update them the day they do.

Start your own market

Two ways in: you have a place — a finca, a garden, a courtyard, a studio — and want a market there; or you have things to sell and need a market to join. Tell us which, we match the two and put the date on the island's calendar.
